There are a ton of movies and TV shows that always recast characters! Do they just think we won’t notice? They do it all the time on Pretty Little Liars and Game of Thrones. But did you know that wizards and muggles from Harry Potter aren’t safe from it either? Even if you watched the movies over and over again, you might have missed some of these recastings! And there are a lot! Here are the guys from the wizarding world that either took Polyjuice Potions or are secret Metamorphmagi.

SHARE if you love to marathon the Harry Potter movies!

1. Albus Dumbledore is one of the best characters from the whole series! But did you know that two actors played Dumbledore? Michael Gambon played the character from Prisoner of Azkaban until the end.

It was Richard Harris who played the Headmaster of Hogwarts forSorcerer’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets. The part was recast after Richard passed away.

TBH Richard and Michael were both great Dumbledores!

2. Even He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was replaced at one point! The Voldemort we all know (and hate) is played by Ralph Fiennes fromGoblet of Fire until the end of the series.

Voldemort without a nose and only nose slits is the only image I accept.

OMG IT’S VOLDEMORT WITH A NOSE. Pre-botched nose job, Voldemort was played by Richard Bremmer in the first movie. You know, when Voldemort decided to hang out on the back of a professor’s head for a year?

And under that turban too! All that fabric. Voldemort must have been suffocating all the time!
